Rutgers Law School’s newly created Patent Advocacy Team made a remarkable debut in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office’s first-ever Patent Trial and Appeal Board Moot Court Competition. 3L Caroline Kim and 4LE Jing Kong earned the Best Oral Argument (Patent Owner) Award and finished second overall.

Rutgers Law School proudly celebrates the Class of 2025—an inspiring group of graduates whose stories reflect perseverance, service, leadership, and resilience—both in and out of the classroom. These future lawyers represent a rich variety of backgrounds and dreams. Their stories are just a few examples of how Rutgers Law helps shape dynamic legal careers.

As part of a practicum course offered through Rutgers Law School’s Center for Transnational Law, a group of students traveled to Geneva, Switzerland for a firsthand look at international human rights in action. They also drafted memos on the six countries under review by the United Nations Committee Against Torture.

Brisa De Angulo and David Yawman will be this year’s Rutgers Law School Commencement speakers. De Angulo ’12, founder and CEO of A Breeze of Hope Foundation, will deliver the Commencement address in Camden. Yawman ’95, Strategic Advisor and Coach at BarkerGilmore and Partner at Cresco Partners, will speak at the Commencement address in Newark.
