Biography
Charlotte D. Schneider leads the Academic Advising Program across Rutgers Law School's Camden and Newark campuses and serves as a Reference Librarian at Rutgers Law Library's Camden location. Ms. Schneider began her information career with the Legal Information Institute (LII) at Cornell Law School, where she served as a volunteer virtual reference librarian from 2013 to 2024. She joined the Rutgers School of Law-Camden Library in July 2012 as a Reference Librarian, became the Government Documents Librarian in 2015, and in 2020 took on Acting Head of Circulation during the library's pandemic-era reorganization, formally serving as Head of Public Services from 2021 to 2025. She now leads the cross-campus Academic Advising Program in addition to her reference work. Ms. Schneider is a winner of the 2022 Joseph L. Andrews Legal Literature Award from the American Association of Law Libraries, recognizing her contribution to The Bremer-Kovacs Collection: Historic Documents Related to the Administrative Procedure Act of 1946, and completed the Rutgers Camden Faculty Leadership Program in 2023–24. She has taught Advanced Legal Research and is a regular guest lecturer in other first-year, upper-level, and undergraduate-seminar courses.
